Being active is the easy part to living a clean and healthy lifestyle. So now it’s time to tackle the hardest part and that is cleaning up your eating habits and sticking to them no matter what!
Dieting is a very scary word for everyone in general who wants to live a healthy lifestyle.
Not knowing that dieting or eating clean is beneficial for one in the longer run. It is a relationship with your health forever.
Let’s understand why prepping meals is important -
There’s nothing like being prepared when you have set a goal for yourself
And that’s exactly why prepping is important. When you prepare your meals in advance you reap so many benefits. When our schedules become busy and or you have a heavy workload from work, you still want to stay on track. And meal preparation helps with that.
Ideally, you want to eat five to six small meals a day every two to three hours.
Doing so will keep your metabolism on track and burn off the foods you consume. If one generally starts the day early - by the time you reach work or any activity your breakfast is done and over and you can prep your meals for the day as required based on your goal.
One of my favourite go to Meal Bag to carry my food in is from MassivElements.
They have an awesome insulated meal box that carries all of my meals and snacks as needed. It will make your journey so much easier. And you will never have to worry about your food spilling and spoiling off in the main bag or anything in general with food.
What are the benefits of meal prepping?
- Better Nutrition – It’s not what you train in the gym or any physical activity that will make you fit. It's 70 % of the diet and 30 % of the activity and rest. Proper nutrition is the key to everything.
- Saves from eating Junk – As Human tendency when you have open options you go for something that maybe be very heart pleasing but not health pleasing. Also when you have food ready you don’t reach out for such unhealthy options.
- Quality Control - YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT when you prep meals you know what’s going in your body and it’s controlled.
- Portion control- Portion control is understanding how much a serving size of the food is and how many calories or how much food energy a serving contains. Portion control is important for body weight management as the weight is defined by the total calorie intake. And cooking meals as per needs controls everything.
